A Description in a paragraphThe Surveillance Club is a monthly gathering of artists, academics, activists, and ascetics who are interested in the democratic regulation of surveillance technology and practice. We don't entirely understand what that means, but we seek to explore its meaning and application via the cultivation of surveillance literacy and the pursuit of cyber-environmentalism. Our intent is to explore the concept of surveillance through both dialogue and play, and as a result we reject both rhetorical stridency and technological determinism.
